Villarreal appear to have pulled out of their negotiations for Juventus full-back Mattia De Sciglio.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Spanish side turned their focus towards other transfer objectives.
Specifically, they are ready to pay €15m to Watford for Pervis Estupian instead.
Villarreal needed a replacement for Alberto Moreno, who suffered a serious knee injury in pre-season training.
De Sciglio is expected to leave Juventus this summer, although finding a buyer is proving more difficult than anticipated.
He turns 28 next month and is under contract until June 2022.
