Walker claims he is better than Messi & Ronaldo in hilarious Instagram post

Kyle Walker has appeared to have decided the long debate of who is the best player in the world out of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

It's in fact neither of them, as the Manchester City full-back has jokingly said he is now the best player in the world.

The England international posted on Instagram claiming his goal in City's 9-0 thrashing of Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday means he has trumped the world stars.

Walker captioned the photo: Goals in 2019: Walker: 1 Ronaldo: 0, Goals in Carabao Cup: Walker: 1 Messi: 0, end of discussion?'

Walker joked that because he has scored more goals than Ronaldo nine days into 2019 and more goals in the Carabao Cup than Messi - a competition that the Argentine can't play in - he thinks that is the end of the discussion.

The City defender scored his second goal of the season in the first leg of the cup semi-final whilst Gabriel Jesus scored four and Kevin de Bruyne, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez all got on the scoresheet.
