Watford are interested in signing Bordeaux winger Francois Kamano.
The Guinean attacker has scored eight goals in Ligue 1 this season and also has an offer from Monaco.
Although he is usually deployed on the left wing, Kamano, 22, has also featured on the opposite flank at times this season.
Watford have yet to make any signings in this month's transfer window, while Stefano Okaka and Marvin Zeegelaar have both joined Udinese on loan.
The Hornets are currently in seventh place in the Premier League and are unbeaten in their last three top flight fixtures.
Next up for Javi Gracia's team is a home game against Burnley on Saturday.
Following that they will take on Newcastle away in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
