West Ham fans gathered outside London Stadium to protest against a decade of ownership under David Sullivan and David Gold.

Hundreds of disgruntled supporters gathered outside the stadium ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton, voicing their frustrations over the running of the club on the eve of the tenth anniversary of the takeover.

Fans were heard chanting 'ten years of failure' as anger continue to mount over the club's lack of progress.

The protest, organised by supporters group Hammers United, says the owners 'must now completely change their relationship with our supporters and deliver on all ten pledges they published ten years ago, or put the club up for sale to allow someone who will deliver to step in.'

Under the ownership of Sullivan and Gold the club has gone through highs and lows with one relegation, one promotion, two top-ten finishes and two European adventures.

The decade saw the club wave farewell to Upton Park ahead of the move to the London Stadium, and the Hammers were unable to maintain key players such as Dmitri Payet and Marko Arnautovic.

West Ham have recently had to sack another manager in Manuel Pellegrini and re-hired David Moyes just 17 months after he originally left the club.

The club have had another disappointing season to date and currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone.

Gold, Sullivan and vice-chairman Karen Brady have all given interviews this week in the lead up to the anniversary of the takeover.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, Sullivan admitted: "I would like talk about what we have achieved on the pitch but unfortunately, despite our investment and best efforts, we have not made the progress we all expected under the club’s most high-profile and proven manager [Manuel Pellegrini], having brought in a director of football [Mario Husillos]."

Having bought up an initial 50% majority stake back in January 2010, the two men have since taken their holding above 85%

The protests lasted an hour from 1pm to 2pm prior to the kick-off against Everton and went down without any problems.
