West Ham full-back Arthur Masuaku has joined Turkish side Besiktas.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international has agreed an initial season-long loan with a view to making the transfer permanent next summer.

Masuaku made 129 appearances across six seasons with the Hammers, scoring two goals, since arriving from Greek side Olympiacos in August 2016.

The deal was confirmed just three days after Masuaku started for West Ham in their final pre-season friendly with French side Lens on Saturday evening in France.

The 28-year-old's transfer will see him link-up with former West Bromwich Albion and Barnsley manager Valerien Ismael.

Meanwhile, West Ham will continue to explore the market as they look to build on their strong campaign under David Moyes last term.

The Hammers registered an interest in Filip Kostic but are said to be looking for alternatives as they have struggled to reach an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt.

West Ham are also in talks with Lille for Adama Onana. However, Moyes has dismissed links with Benfica midfielder Julian Weigl.

The Hammers will kick start their 2022-2023 Premier League campaign at home to Manchester City at the London Stadium on Sunday.
