West Ham interested in Spartak Moscow midfielder
West Ham are yet to sign a single player this summer, but there have been more transfer stories breaking around the Hammers of late.
One of which comes courtesy of the Telegraph and claims that West Ham are interested in Spartak Moscow midfielder, Alex Kral.
Kral, 23, would feature 30 times for Spartak Moscow in 2020/21, providing five assists from the defensive midfield position.
Kral was also taken to Euro 2020, where he played alongside current West Ham stars Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal for the Czech Republic.
More West Ham targets
The same report from the Telegraph also provided some more insight into some of the players being looked at by the London-based outfit this summer.
Amongst these players was Abdallah Sima, who currently plies his trade with Slavia Prague, where Soucek and Coufal were signed from and where the aforementioned Kral also used to play.
Sima, though, is a winger who can also play up top. He scored 20 and assisted eight in 39 competitions last season.
Elsewhere, West Ham also look to be eyeing cover at full-back, with the Telegraph mentioning interest in Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence and Burnley’s Phil Bardsley.
Oxlade-Chamberlain to West Ham?
Finally, a recent report from the Express has linked West Ham with Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Chamberlain has been on Liverpool’s books since 2017, but a combination of fitness issues and competition for places has limited the midfielder’s chances at Anfield.
And now the Express are reporting that West Ham could look to the ‘Ox’ to boos their midfield this season, with David Moyes said to be considering a loan bid for him.
It is added that Jurgen Klopp would be willing to let go of Chamberlain as he looks to reshape his squad.
