West Ham vice-chairman Baroness Brady has thrown her support behind Sportsmail's quest to see former England striker Jimmy Greaves honoured for services to football.
The 'Give Greavsie a Gong' campaign has prompted an overwhelming response and our petition is now close to 30,000 signatures.
'There is no doubt Jimmy Greaves should be honoured after reaching his 80th birthday on Thursday,' wrote Brady in the Sun.
'He was fabulous. With 357 goals in the top flight and 44 more for England, the only sweeter goalscorer in the First Division was arguably George Best — but in nothing like the quantity.'
Greaves ended his career with a short spell at West Ham after spending his most prolific years at Chelsea and Tottenham.
