What's been said?
Heading into the showdown with Liverpool, Guardiola believes that Liverpool remains an 'exceptional' team despite their poor campaign so far.
'We know each other for many years, the same manager many years. One more,' Guardiola said at his pre-match press conference.
'They remain an exceptional team. My opinion doesn't chance for a season of ups and downs. Every team during one season can have these up and downs.
'Nothing changes, there is another rival this season… but in the future they will always be a big rival.'
As for Liverpool, Klopp gave his thoughts on the current situation regarding the fitness of Haaland.
'When you prepare a game, you prepare all things to avoid the final pass - which is where Erling really comes into the game,' Klopp said at his pre-match press conference.
'He is a proper striker, but they became champions without a striker. That's how it is, you never know 100 per cent who can play.'
