Zinchenko has struggled with injury at the start of the 2023/24 campaign but now looks ready to contribute consistently after proving his fitness. The Ukraine international will definitely be sharing a joke with Rice after England's match against Ukraine this afternoon after Zinchenko scored the opening goal of the game.
The 26-year-old burst into the penalty area and peeled off the back of Rice to slot the ball into the back of the England net to make it 1-0 in the first half. Zinchenko celebrated by waving to the cameras with many Ukraine fans showing their emotions after his brilliant strike.
Rice was left questioning how Zinchenko has so much room in the box with ex-Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson leading the inquests after the Three Lions' conceded. Kyle Walker has since equalised for Gareth Southgate's side, but Zinchenko is impressing in a more advanced role for Ukraine.
