The exit door had only just stopped swinging at Tottenham in the wake of Mauricio Pochettino's departure, when in walked Jose Mourinho and a completely new-look backroom staff.
To the disbelief of many, the iconic Portuguese manager is now at the helm at Tottenham, and will look to steer the club into a new era.
After Spurs confirmed which personnel Mourinho would be bringing with him to north London, Sportsmail dug a little deeper to examine what supporters can expect.
Joao Sacramento - Assistant manager
Portuguese, 44-years-old
The first repercussions of Mourinho taking over at Spurs were felt by Lille, who now have to part ways with their 44-year-old assistant manager.
Sacramento will come straight in as Mourinho's right-hand man in north London, and is highly rated within European football.
After studying for a degree in Glamorgan, he joined the Welsh FA as a performance analyst - working under Gary Speed and Chris Coleman.
In 2014 he joined Monaco as a technical assistant and worked there for two years, before then being appointed by Lille in January 2017.
Sacramento was instrumental as the club finished in the top two for the first time in 14 years last season, and is seen as a future first team manager later on in his career.
Carlos Lalin - Chief fitness coach
Venezuelan, 49-years-old
Lalin started his career at Deportivo La Coruna, before joining Real Madrid and meeting Mourinho.
The fitness coach impressed Mourinho with his methodology, and went with the Special One on his return to Chelsea and then Manchester United.
He was credited by Mourinho for getting Diego Costa back in shape at Stamford Bridge, however a bust-up with Mourinho at United in March 2017 saw Lalin storm out of training.
The two have clearly since made amends. Lalin's time at United came to an end when Mourinho was removed from his post.
Nuno Santos - Goalkeeper coach
Portuguese, 46-years-old
Another casualty for Lille, Santos has quit as the French club's goalkeeping coach to join Mourinho at Spurs.
He was at 14 clubs during his career as a player, including Leeds in the 1998-99 season.
After retiring he became goalkeeping coach for Canada, as well as working in their youth set-up.
He will now work closely with Hugo Lloris, as the Frenchman bids to make his return for Tottenham after a nasty elbow injury.
Ricardo Formosinho - Scout and analyst
Portuguese, 63-years-old
The 63-year-old earned one cap for Portugal as a player, before going into management and taking charge of 21 teams, including a spell in charge of Kuala Lumpur.
He was an assistant coach and scout at Manchester United under Mourinho.
He also departed Manchester when Mourinho did, and had been without attachment to a club since.
Giovanni Cerra - Chief analyst
Italian, 43-years-old
A former employee at Microsoft, Cerra worked under Mourinho at Manchester United as an analyst.
He assessed scouting data on opponents and helped develop gameplans. Mourinho publicly berated him in the Old Trafford dug-out during a Europa League game in 2016 after Zorya Luhansk changed their line-up and United’s players were left confused.
He departed United when Mourinho did, though the pair retained a bond and mutual respect. Cerra is expected to pick up the same role at Tottenham.
