Arsenal holding midfielder Declan Rice showed his frustrations with Kai Havertz during Saturday's 2-2 draw against Fulham

Arsenal record signing Declan Rice was spotted showing his frustrations with Kai Havertz during Saturday's Premier League clash against Fulham.

Despite the visitors going down to ten men following Calvin Bassey's red card, the match ended 2-2 after Palhinha equalised from a corner in the 87th minute. It was a frustrating afternoon for Mikel Arteta's side and one moment in particular, involving Rice and Havertz, summed up the disappointment.

With the scoreline poised at 1-0, Rice passed to Havertz, who was in plenty of space but the German international looked to pass back to his teammate instead of turning and advancing the ball forward. Rice threw his hands up in the air in frustration, clearly voicing his anger with the former Blues' playmaker.

"No, I saw an action when he played backwards and he could have turned," the Spaniard said regarding the incident. "That’s more I think the demands of everybody to play forward and to impact the game in the final third because we had the urgency to win."

When asked if he was confident in Havertz eventually winning the fans over, the Arsenal boss added: "Yes I think so.

"I think he’s done already really good things. Today it was tough in certain moments.

"He got in great areas and the ball didn’t arrive. In a lot of situations he should have scored a lot of goals already this season. That’s the thing that is missing there."
