The Norwegian number nine trained with City on Thursday.
Erling Haaland suffered a foot injury against Borussia Dortmund last week and the striker has missed Manchester City’s last two matches
Without their focal point in attack, Pep Guardiola’s side managed to collect two wins over Leicester City in the Premier League and Sevilla in the Champions League in midweek.
The Norwegian number nine was pictured in City training on Thursday, but head coach Pep Guardiola refused to be drawn on whether he will be fit for the visit of Fulham.
Haaland ‘much better’
“He’s much better,” Guardiola said on Friday. “We will decide today. It’s a good step, he starts to train and we have training this afternoon and we will see.”
The former Barcelona coach also gave an update on players Manuel Akanji, Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips.
“Manuel’s okay. Kalvin and Kyle are still not fit,” Guardiola said.
City only have three games left before the World Cup break. After Fulham tomorrow, they welcome Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday for their Carabao Cup third-round tie, before another home fixture against Brentford next Saturday.
