Wolves are awaiting clarification from UEFA over their Europa League clash against Olympiakos, which has been plunged into uncertainty due to the Coronavirus.
Nuno Espirito Santos’ side travel to Athens on Wednesdays ahead of their last 16 clash against Pedro Martin’ team, who eliminated Arsenal in the previous round.
But the clash appears to be in danger of being played behind closed doors after the Greek government announced sporting events will take place without spectators because of the worrying Covid-19 outbreak.
As of Saturday night, 66 cases of the virus had been identified in Greece.
On Sunday, Wolves were aware of the development but were waiting on an update from European football’s governing body before confirming official guidance to supporters planning on flying to Greece this week.
UEFA are in communication with Olympiakos officials, who will inform Wolves about changes to the schedule for Thursday’s clash.
