Wolves 'plot winter training camp in Marbella before Europe League push'

Wolves are planning to head to Marbella for a warm-weather training camp during the Premier League's winter break next month.

Nuno Espirito Santo's team visited southern Spain in December and are poised to go again in early February, after their league fixture at Manchester United on February 1.

Following that game, Wolves have a break from action until they take on Leicester at home on February 14.

Wolves visited the Marbella Football Center three times in 2019. It has been used regularly in the past by Premier League teams including Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham. The venue has four full-size, floodlit pitches and the facilities have been praised by Jurgen Klopp, Fabio Capello and David Moyes.

Boss Nuno hopes to have a stronger squad by the time they depart following the departure of failed signings Jesus Vallejo and Patrick Cutrone this month.

The Portuguese is chasing at least one central defender, a centre-forward and a wide forward to improve his options for the second half of the campaign. Wolves' FA Cup replay at Old Trafford on Wednesday is their 38th fixture of the season.
