Wolves are bracing themselves for interest in Raul Jimenez this summer with the Mexico forward lined up for a return to Spanish football.
Jimenez made a miraculous return to competitive action after fracturing his skull in a collision with David Luiz in Wolves' match at Arsenal in November 2020, which left the 31-year-old's life in danger.
He made 34 league appearances for Wolves last term, scoring six goals, and while the club are not actively looking to sell, manager Bruno Lage is keen to bring in new players this summer and Jimenez's sale would give the club greater room for manoeuvre in the market.
Jimenez is one of Wolves' top earners and has a contract at Molineux that runs until summer 2024.
He also needs the guarantee of regular football next season, to ensure he is in the best possible condition for Mexico's World Cup campaign at the end of the year.
Real Mallorca, managed by Mexican coach Javier Aguirre, has been mooted as a possible destination for Jimenez, while there is also interest from clubs in the US and Mexico.
Jimenez spent the 2014-15 campaign with Atletico Madrid before joining Benfica. He completed a £31.5million move to Wolves in summer 2019 after a successful season on loan.
Wolves are also prepared to sell midfielder Ruben Neves during this window with the price set at about £70m.
Meanwhile, reports in Portugal indicate the Molineux club are in talks with Sporting Lisbon to finalise a deal for long-term target Joao Palhinha, with Sporting demanding about £21million for the 26-year-old midfielder.
