Hello again, the FIFA World Cup is finally here! After every round of the tournament, we will bring you an updated power rankings, telling you who is in form, who is out of form and who is ready to win the greatest sporting event on Earth.
The round of 16 edition is based on each side's FIFA world rankings, knockout stage form and overall squad strength. Let's get into it.
10. Japan
They may have lost the game, but against star-studded Belgium Japan showed why they are the pride of Asia.
The Samurai Blue have gone toe to toe with one of Europe's finest side and so nearly beaten them, and again it highlighted how far the Japanese have come since their debut in the tournament in 1998.
9. Argentina
Argentina's World Cup campaign has come to an end.
Lionel Messi delivered two assists but not enough as Albiceleste were knocked out by France in the round of 16.
8. Sweden
Sweden went through to the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 1994 after a deflected goal from Emil Forsberg clinched a 1-0 win over Switzerland.
7. Russia
Russia surprisingly knocked favourite Spain out on penalty shootouts. Igor Akinfeev saved two spot-kicks as World Cup hosts booked quarter-finals tie with Croatia.
6. Croatia
Croatia beat Denmark 3-2 on penalties to book a World Cup quarter-final showdown with Russia.
Luka Modric missed a second-half penalty, but Ivan Rakitic became the matchwinner in penalty shootouts to save his side.
5. England
Finally! England won their first ever penalty shootouts at a World Cup.
The Three Lions beat Colombia 4-3 on penalties after an ill-tempered 1-1 draw in Moscow to set up a World Cup quarter-final with Sweden.
4. Uruguay
Edinson Cavani scored twice as Uruguay booked a quarter-final date with France and sent Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal home after a 2-1 win.
3. Belgium
From 0-2 down to a 3-2 victory, Belgium completed a breathtaking comeback against solid Japan.
A 94-minute Nacer Chadli winner sent Roberto Martinez's side into quarter-finals to set up Brazil tie.
2. France
Youth, speed, passion.
Didier Deschamps' side sealed a convincing victory over Lionel Messi's Argentina, with 19-year-old wonderkid Kylian Mbappe single-handedly making three goals, including a five-minute double.
1. Brazil
Brazil were far from their fluid best against Mexico, but Neymar and super-sub Roberto Firmino booked them a spot in the last eight for the seventh straight World Cup.
