Ashley Young has labelled a Twitter troll 'vile and disrespectful' after he said he wouldn't have minded if the Manchester United player had been involved in the tragic Leicester helicopter crash.
Foxes owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four others died as his helicopter went down shortly after taking off from the pitch at the King Power Stadium last Saturday.
The footballing world has been in mourning in the time since with black armbands and a minute's silence at every Premier League game over the weekend.
Young was involved in one of those, starting as Manchester United beat Bournemouth 2-1 at Dean Court on Saturday.
However, one individual was clearly unimpressed with Young's performance, taking to Twitter to aim a sick comment in his direction.
'Ashley Young embarrassing, wouldn't of minded him on that helicopter,' he tweeted.
And the 33-year-old was naturally disgusted, responding: 'I can take all the abuse you can throw at me but this is vile and disrespectful.'
The Leicester City squad and manager Claude Puel have arrived in Thailand to pay their respects to their late owner.
Saturday was the first day of a week-long funeral for Srivaddhanaprabha. The Leicester players will be attending services on Sunday and Monday. They are expected to return to the United Kingdom on Tuesday morning.
