Zaha, Lingard and Bailey among Premier League stars jetting off on holiday

Some of the Premier League's most recognisable stars wasted no time in heading for sunnier shores following the end of the season.

Sunday's dramatic final day saw the title race, top four and relegation all decided in what was a thrilling conclusion to the 2021-22 campaign.

This has been an exhausting season for players and many were keen to quickly jet off to start their relaxation time on holiday.

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha ended his season on a high, netting the only goal in a final day 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Zaha was seen on Instagram feasting on some noodles on board a private plane as he and girlfriend Paige Bannister left for a holiday.

It is unclear where exactly the couple have headed for, with the last Instagram story on Bannister's profile showing them holding hands in a taxi.

Zaha's team-mate Joachim Andersen also wasted no time in heading away as he shared a poolside Instagram selfie.

The towering centre back has thrived under Patrick Vieira this season and has more than earned some time off, as he gave a thumbs up to the camera while laying down on a poolside sunbed.

Aston Villa ended the season in emotionally exhausting scenes at the Etihad Stadium, as they went from 2-0 up to losing 3-2, allowing Manchester City to seal their latest Premier League title.

Lucas Digne started at left back for Villa in Sunday's loss and he will no doubt now be distracted after he headed to Barcelona on a family holiday.

The Frenchman was seen at Oassis Natural Cooking, a pizza restaurant in Barcelona on Tuesday afternoon, alongside his wife Tiziri and their son Isahoet and daughter Inhaya.

On Monday, the Digne family enjoyed a late-night stroll along the beach as they look to recuperate with the Villa full-back.

Digne moved to Villa Park in January and will no doubt be keen to return for pre-season refreshed and ready for a first full season under boss Steven Gerrard.

Like Digne, Villa winger Leon Bailey will be itching to return revived and refreshed after a frustrating season beset by injuries.

Bailey, 24, played no part in the squad to see out the season, as he now heads away for a summer break.

The Jamaican attacker shared pictures next to a private jet with girlfriend Stephanie Hope and his son Leo Cristiano.

Sharing one picture from onboard the jet, Bailey is seen reclined in his seat, covered by a thick black blanket.

Elsewhere, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva looked to be unwinding in Dubai as he and his wife Belle jetted off to explore the region.

The defender's wife is a frequent poster on her social media pages and she has already detailed lots of their trip, including a visit to the Burj Khalifa, and a session swimming.

Manchester United pair Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard shared snaps on their own flights, with Lingard appearing to run into actress Erin Kellyman, who plays the character 'Pebbles' in hit series Top Boy.

Lingard has plenty to mull over this summer with the expiry of his Manchester United contract leaving him as a free agent.

A return to West Ham is reportedly a possibility but Lingard is likely to be in no rush to decide his next move as he enjoys some downtime away.

Fernandes will look to put a bitterly disappointing season behind him on his family trip, with a photo on Instagram showing him with his daughter Matilde.

Wolves' Conor Coady has looked to keep a low profile while he is on holiday, with his wife posting that they are in Ibiza for a break together.
