Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni is in a serious condition after being hit by a car while ordering riding his bicycle this morning. He has been transferred to hospital in the Balearic Islands. And El Mundo Deportivo say Scaloni's condition is 'between mild and moderate'.
Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni has been rushed to hospital in a ‘grave condition’ after being hit by a car while cycling, say reports in Spain.
The 40-year-old was riding his bicycle in the Balearic Islands at 10am on Tuesday morning when the incident occurred, according to the Diario de Mallorca.
The former wing-back is most famed in Spanish football for an eight-year stint at Deportivo La Coruna, when he won the Spanish league title, along with stints at Racing Santander and Real Mallorca.
Scaloni was appointed as the Argentina national team boss following last year’s World Cup, when Jorge Sampaoli was dismissed when his side exited at the Round of 16.
