Arsenal centre-half Rob Holding has sent a cryptic message on his Instagram page following an error during the Gunners' 5-3 win against Barcelona

Arsenal defender Rob Holding has taken to social media to send a cryptic message after his side secured a 5-3 victory against Barcelona.

Goals from Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Fabio Vieira and a Leandro Trossard brace cancelled out finishes from Blaugrana trio Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Ferran Torres in what was a hugely entertaining fixture in Los Angeles. But Holding received some criticism for his cameo appearance.

The experienced centre-back came off the substitutes bench in the 84th minute before making a costly error in the build-up to Torres' goal. Holding gave the ball away in his own half, slipping with the ball at his feet before Xavi's side quickly converted their opportunity a few seconds later.

The 27-year-old then took to Instagram, posting a black screen on his story alongside the caption: "Nice one." It remains to be seen who or what exactly Holding was referring to, with the former Bolton defender clearly frustrated after his mistake.

Next up for Arteta's sides is a clash against Monaco in the Emirates Cup on Tuesday before their Community Shield battle with Manchester City the following Sunday.
