The French striker returned to his social networks with an image with his son at Real Madrid’s training ground and a message stating: “On the right path”.
There was a degree of confusion when Real Madrid and France striker Karim Benzema’s social media accounts disappeared on Saturday evening shortly after Real Madrid’s 2-1 league win over Real Betis.
Some 20 hours later, both the @Benzema Twitter and @karimbenzema Instagram accounts have been reactivated much to the joy of his 57 million followers on the latter.
The French striker posted an image along with his five-year-old son Ibrahim on the pitch at Real Madrid’s Ciudad Deportiva, chasing a ball. The image was accompanied by an enigmatic caption: “On the right path” (in French) adding a red heart emoticon.
The Madrid striker offered no explanation as why both accounts had become inaccessible to users with a security breach being the main reason offered by other social media observers.
