Clubs chase Eduardo Camavinga

A gaggle of clubs have been chasing the signing of Eduardo Camavinga, including Manchester United and Arsenal, this summer. With one year left on his current contract at Stade Rennais, the teenager, who already has 3 French national team appearances, has shown no interest in renewing his current deal at the Ligue 1 club.

Spanish and French clubs are thought to be interested in signing the midfielder, but only next summer, when he will be available on a free, due to their current lack of transfer funds.

Until then, the Premier League clubs have a chance to strike.

Camavinga to depart if price tag met

As 101 reported yesterday, Rennais have been active in the transfer market in the past week, bringing in central midfielder Baptiste Santamaria from German outfit SC Freiburg. This, in turn, has left them with six options in the centre of the pitch, increasing the possibility of departures.

And Camavinga seems to be the player that the French outfit are trying to provide cover for, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano providing insight into the situation.

As per Romano, the Ligue 1 side are willing to cash in on their star talent, providing that their 35 million euro fee is met.

However, this was rumoured to be an even greater fee earlier in the window, so it could well be a case that his value continues to plummet ahead of the transfer deadline, as Rennes desperately attempt to recoup any sort of value from the teenager.

Could we see Manchester United or Arsenal make a late bid for the Frenchman?
