Ruben Loftus-Cheek was back at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, but he received a brutal message from former teammate Cesc Fabregas afterwards.
The Chelsea midfielder who is still sidelined with the Achilles problem he sustained during an end of the season friendly back in May was presented to the crowd ahead of the Champions League clash against Ajax.
And he wasn't alone. Alongside Loftus-Cheek was Tennis star Alexander Zverev and the pair even posed for a picture holding up an 'Zverev no.8 shirt'.
When Loftus-Cheek took to social media to reflect on events in west London, he was greeted with a rather harsh response by former teammate Cesc Fabregas.
"How intense was the game last night!? Amazing character on display," Loftus-Cheek wrote on Instagram. "Good to meet you my man. All the best next week alexzverev123."
To which Fabregas had an hilarious - yet brutal - reply as he made fun of Loftus-Cheek's choice of clothing.
"I had this jumper 6 years ago son," the ex-Blues midfielder wrote. "Renew your wardrobe."
