'If we lose 2 matches, I'll be criticised again' - Zidane on Valverde's sacking

Zidane has talked about ex-Barca coach Ernesto Valverde in the press conference.

"I'm not going to get into that," said Real Madrid boss.

"The only thing is that I feel sorry for him because it's not a good situation.

"He's a good coach and I have enormous respect for him.

"As coaches, we know where we are. That won't change. It won't change for me either if we lose matches.

"If we lose two matches then they'll criticise me again, as was the case a month and a half ago.

"I know it's complicated as we can't always win, but we always try to give 100 per cent.

"That won't ever change in football."

Also, Zidane was asked about Barca new coach Setien and asked what he expects from him.

"I expect Barcelona to compete as they always do, as they've done with all the coaches they've had," he said.

"They're going to do their work and we'll do our work.

"There will always be this rivalry.

"I expect a competitive team as I always do."
