Five key reasons have emerged why Sevilla and Isco agreed to terminate his contract this week.
Having only joined Sevilla in the summer on a free transfer from Real Madrid, Isco is again available and expected to soon sign for Wolves, where former Sevilla and Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui is in charge.
AS says there were five reasons why Isco is today again a free agent:
1) He arrived unfit and without having done a preseason.
2) His position was well covered, with Papu Gomez, Oliver Torres and Suso all similar players.
3) He was a personal request of Lopetegui.
4) He didn't get along with sporting director Monchi. In front of the squad, Isco told Monchi he was "Julen's signing not yours".
5) He returned from the World Cup break overweight.
Isco is expected to pursue his career in England, where Wolves are already in talks, though Tottenham and Arsenal have also been linked.
