Ronaldinho could barely hide his excitement on Tuesday after being told he would be released from jail.

The Brazilian legend has been in a Paraguayan jail alongside brother Roberto since the beginning of March after allegedly attempting to enter the country with a fake passport.

Both will serve the rest of their sentence under house arrest after paying £1.3 million in bail and Judge Gustavo Amarilla contacted the duo on Tuesday to reveal the news.

At the start of the conversation, he states: "Your lawyers say say you are not going to abscond and you are going to respect the conditions of the house arrest.

"I need to know whether you understand the terms of the bail agreement and personally accept it."

The former Ballon d'Or winner then immediately responds with "I accept," as does his brother.

Ronaldinho then busted out his infamous 'shaka sign' celebration while grinning from ear to ear.

Ronaldinho was seen embracing family later on in the day after being released.
