AC Milan are set for some huge shifts behind the scenes after a very disappointing season.

After watching their city rivals claim the Serie A title, AC Milan are still fighting for Champions League football under manager Allegri whose future is uncertain.

Milan expert Carlo Pellegatti has reported that Allegri may not be at the club next season even if Champions League football is achieved, hinting that the board are not happy with what is another disappointing campaign.

Milan are said to be interested in Vincenzo Italiano to replace Allegri who has not quite found his footing at the Italian side who have lost half of their last 10 league games.

This also comes as former Juventus CEO Giuntoli is set to become the new Atalanta sporting director, replacing Tony D’Amico who reports claim will join Milan as he steps in for Igli Tare Sporting Director whose future is also unstable.

It is a complex situation at Milan, where the board are reportedly blaming the players and coaching staff who they believe should be replaced.

Allegri is said to have a good relationship with the players, but this is not transferring to the pitch which leaves him, as well as Tare in an awkward position as rumours of them being ousted grow.

Milan have only won one of their last five league games, and narrow lead over fifth-placed Roma has been reduced to three points with three games remaining.

Changes are needed at the side and the board clearly see that as they work towards major shifts ahead of next season.
