Achraf Hakimi’s agent critical of Mbappe’s mother

As reported by L’Équipe earlier in June, Kylian Mbappé’s (24) mother, Fayza Lamari, has set up an agency with her son, as well as players such as Olympique Lyonnais’ Rayan Cherki (19) set to become clients. This move has been criticised by the agent of Mbappé’s Paris Saint-Germain teammate and close friend Achraf Hakimi (24).

There had been rumours circulating that Hakimi was set to join Lamari’s new agency. However, in an interview with AS, the player’s agent, Alejandro Camaño rejected those rumours, whilst also criticising the creation of the agency itself.

“We are very surprised that just because she is the mother of an important player, she can interfere in the market,” he began, in an interview transcribed by L’Équipe.

“Achraf is part of the Footfeel family. He has been convinced by the project for many years and he has a personal relationship with Kylian, which we respect, we like him for that. Being the mother of a player isn’t enough. For me, it shows a lack of respect for the profession,” he added.

“Fayza Lamari is a business that has nothing other than Kylian Mbappé. Her importance on the market is non-existent, she has no experience, no completed deals, and no penetration into the market,” concluded Camaño.

According to L’Équipe, talks between Cherki and the Mbappé family have been taking place over many months with an agreement being reached in the past few weeks. Lamari may have a busy summer with the future of her son in doubt. According to Foot Mercato, PSG want to sell Mbappé, who has just one year remaining on his deal with Les Parisiens.
