Achraf Hakimi shared a touching message of support for Nayef Aguerd after the Moroccan defender underwent surgery for a persistent groin injury.
The Olympique de Marseille player explained that he had been dealing with constant pain for months despite following several medical treatments.
“Since October, I’ve been suffering from pain that has become a daily occurrence. From waking up until going to bed, and sometimes even during the night, it had become constant,” Aguerd revealed on his social media.
Following the successful operation, Aguerd will now focus on recovery with hopes of returning to competition in the coming weeks. Hakimi, his compatriot and close friend, publicly expressed his encouragement on Instagram. “Very few people know what you have endured and the sacrifices you have made to be in top form,” the Paris Saint-Germain defender wrote, adding, “I am sure you will come back stronger, we will be there to wait for you and support you.”
