The veteran defender is leaving Liga MX club Monterrey ahead of the January market. Ramos wants to return to Europe with the aim of gatecrashing Spain's World Cup squad.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported on his YouTube channel: Sergio Ramos is leaving Monterrey after performing well and playing a lot. He wants a different experience, because deep down, even though it's very difficult, he hopes to reach the World Cup.
"He has no intention of retiring and wants a new experience now. He's for a team that needs an extra leader.
"Ahead of the January transfer window, his agents are scouting and are reportedly offering him to several clubs, including AC Milan, who are looking for a new defender for the second half of this season.
"Sergio Ramos' contract with Monterrey, as a reminder, expires on December 31, 2025."
