Match Report
Marcos Leonardo scored in both halves to help make sure of the victory, ahead of second-place Al-Ittihad's match on Saturday.
It took Al-Hilal just four minutes to get on the scoresheet as the visitors struggled to clear their lines following a Sergej Milinkovic-Savic cross from the left. After some pinball in the box, Moteb Al Harbi's drilled cross was poked home by Kaio Cesar.
The hosts continued to push and were eventually rewarded just before half-time. Milinkovic-Savic curled a stunning free-kick into the right side of the net from 30 yards, with Paulo Vitor unable to get a hand to it.
Leonardo got his first just four minutes later, profiting after Hassan Al Tambakti thumped his header into the ground to send it looping over Vitor. The Brazilian was on hand to turn it in on the line.
He added some gloss to the scoreline 10 minutes into the second half, once again showing his poaching ability. Al Harbi's shot was punched away by Vitor, but Leonardo was there to volley it in.
Al-Okhdood showed signs of a fight, with Mohammed Al Jahif hitting the post with an almost-perfect long-range strike, but the visitors could not find a way through.

Data Debrief: The goals keep piling up
Al-Hilal have certainly done their goal difference no harm with this result, extending it to +40, 14 better off than second-place Al-Ittihad.
Their previous three wins over Al-Okhdood were all won 3-0, meaning Al-Hilal have now kept a clean sheet in their first four meetings against them.
Al-Okhdood are also a favourite opponent of Milinkovic-Savic - against no team has he scored more goals (four), while they are the first he has scored against both home and away in the same season.
Leonardo has scored eight goals in the Saudi Pro League in 2025 (more than any other player) and has contributed the most goals during this period (nine – eight goals and one assist).
