Match Report
Ronaldo was combining well with Angelo Gomes but Jhon Duran looked off colour after coming back from an one game suspension.
The home side took the lead five minutes before the end of the first half. Veteran forward Omar Al Soma delightfully dispatched the ball from the right side of the box to the bottom right corner of the net to finish a well constructed move. Earlier, in the ninth minute, the Syrian striker almost scored with a spectacular over head kick but his effort went just wide of the target.
Just after the break, substitute Nawaf Boushal score the equalising goal for the visiting side as Stefano Pioli’s half-time change made the difference. The gaol gave Ronaldo and Co. the much needed confidence and they started to attack with more regularity.
Al Orobah absorbed the pressure and started to play on the counters.
Al Orobah seized the lead in the 65th minute thanks to a stunning strike from Johann Berg Gudmundsson. The Icelandic midfielder unleashed a thunderous left-footed shot that nestled perfectly into the top right corner, leaving the helpless Bento rooted to the spot.
Ten minutes prior to this goal, the Ronaldo squandered a golden opportunity, firing wide with only the goalkeeper to beat after a precise pass from Angelo.
Al Nassr tried to respond but Al Orobah put on a impressive defensive show to earn its first-ever league victory over the Riyadh-based team.
