Barcelona's pursuit of a 100-point season in LaLiga was halted by a 1-0 defeat to Alaves, who hauled themselves out of the relegation zone thanks to Ibrahim Diabate's goal.

Match Report
Having seen his team clinch their second straight title with a 2-0 Clasico win over Real Madrid on Sunday, Hansi Flick made eight changes to his XI for Wednesday's trip to the Estadio de Mendizorroza.
And those alterations resulted in a flat performance from the Blaugrana, who could have gone behind when Abde Rebbach's ferocious effort deflected wide in the 21st minute.
Alaves did get themselves in front a minute into first-half stoppage time. After a corner provoked a scramble in the area, Antonio Blanco headed the ball back into the danger zone, and Diabate outmuscled Marc Bernal to find the bottom-left corner.
Diabate saw a header repelled by Wojciech Szczesny early in the second half as Barca continued to toil, with Alaves still carrying the greater attacking threat.
The offside flag went up when Angel Perez struck the post, and the champions were unable to carve out an equaliser despite the introductions of Ferran Torres, Pedri and Joao Cancelo from the bench.
The result means Barca cannot match the all-time LaLiga single-season points record, while Alaves jump all the way to 15th in the table with 40 points, with four teams tied on 39 behind them.

Data Debrief: No century for Barca as Alaves lock it down
Real Madrid's class of 2011-12 and Barcelona the following season remain the only teams to hit 100 points in a LaLiga campaign, with Flick's crop of 2025-26 now only able to reach 97.
They also saw their 11-match winning streak in LaLiga halted, with Flick failing to match Pep Guardiola (16), Frank Rijkaard (14) and Luis Enrique (12) as the only Barca coaches to achieve a winning run of 12 games or more in the competition.
Instead, it was Alaves' night, and they have ended a 16-match winless run against Barcelona (D2 L14), having lost each of their last six against the Blaugrana prior to this one.
Remarkably, Barca had scored in 55 consecutive LaLiga matches, and they came up short against an Alaves side that had waited 20 games for a clean sheet.
And in a tight affair, Quique Sanchez Flores' team will feel they deserved all three points. They had nine shots to Barcelona's eight, not conceding a single shot on target and edging the expected goals (xG) battle by 0.66 to 0.59.
