All Football Power Rankings of the Week: City remain atop as Barca surpass Juve

  /  Cai

Hello again! We organize clubs of Europe's top 5 leagues into an order that reflects the up-to-the-minute hierarchy every Tuesday.

The rankings are a season-long measurement of clubs, tracking teams throughout 2018-19 and taking into account results from all competitions. Our rankings consider advanced stats, full-season play and recent performance with some gut feeling mixed in.

Sides that have lost the fewest games naturally rank higher—though the strength of opposition met in a loss is considered—and both UEFA Champions/Europa League form and presence are used as tiebreakers for those with similar records. Teams that gather big wins against strong opponents get a boost.

Here's the top 10 of the week >>

10. Bayern Munich

Bayern kept on winning ways in Bundesliga after Champions League draw with Liverpool.

The Bavarians were held in a goalless Champions League away draw with Liverpool as Kimmich will miss the 2nd-leg's Allianz decider.

Martinez, who shone in Anfield draw, scored the winner to snatch slim 1-0 win over Hertha.

9. Real Madrid

Real Madrid sealed a controversial win as Bale & VAR took the centre stage

Los Blancos bounced back from Girona defeat thanks to Bale & Benzema's penalties which sealed a 2-1 win at Levante.

Solari's side will take on Barcelona in two consecutive Bernabeu clashes this week that we will never want to miss.

8. Atletico Madrid

Morata broke his duck in La Liga after Atletico claimed a vital win over Juve in Champions League.

Godin and Gimenez kept Ronaldo & co quiet in Wanda Metropolitano as Atletico gained huge 2-0 lead in Champions League 1st-leg.

In La Liga, Simeone's side kept on winning ways as Morata finally scored his debut goal for Atleti after his goals against Madrid & Juve both disallowed.

Tottenham saw their gap on top increased after a shock Premier League loss.

Pochettino's side are now 5 points behind 2nd-placed Man City with Chelsea clash coming in the next matchday.

5. Paris Saint-Germain

Neymar-less PSG strode ahead with head held high in Ligue 1.

Free-scoring Parisians cruised to a 5-1 win over Montpellier and 3-0 win over Nimes last week.

Mbappe scored three goals in the two victories to keep pressure on Messi in European Golden Shoe race.

4. Liverpool

Liverpool suffered two goalless draws last week but returned to top Premier League.

Klopp's men were held by Bayern Munich in Champions League as Mane and Salah missed chances in Anfield stalemate.

In Premier League, Klopp's side returned to top after a bloody 0-0 draw with Man Utd as Firmino went off injured.

3. Juventus

Juventus are in danger of Champions League exit after Atletico loss.
