All Football Power Rankings of the Week: Liverpool surpass City & Barca on top

  /  Cai

Hello again! We organize clubs of Europe's top 5 leagues into an order that reflects the up-to-the-minute hierarchy every Tuesday.

The rankings are a season-long measurement of clubs, tracking teams throughout 2018-19 and taking into account results from all competitions. Our rankings consider advanced stats, full-season play and recent performance with some gut feeling mixed in.

Sides that have lost the fewest games naturally rank higher—though the strength of opposition met in a loss is considered—and both UEFA Champions/Europa League form and presence are used as tiebreakers for those with similar records. Teams that gather big wins against strong opponents get a boost.

Here's the top 10 of the week >>

10. Chelsea

Chelsea lost to Liverpool in Premier League blockbuster after a first-leg win in Europa League.

Marcos Alonso scored the late winner as Chelsea sealed a hard-earned win at Slavia Praha.

In Premier League, however, Hazard hit the post as Chelsea suffered a 2-0 loss to Liverpool.

9. Real Madrid

Benzema continued his form as his goal snatched a draw at Leganes.

Benzema scored his 5th goal in 4 games to rescue a 1-1 draw at Leganes.

Zidane's men are 4 points behind Atletico, can they make a surprise to finish second?

8. Paris Saint-Germain

PSG suffered an unexpected and shocking loss at Lille as their title party once again postponed.

PSG were due to celebrate their title party but they were smashed by Lille in a 5-1 loss during which Bernat was sent off.
