Milan coach Amorim was interviewed by DAZN as the Serie A season is about to restart. He discussed his connection to Milan, Gonçalo Ramos's performance, the team's goals, and the summer transfer market.

On his connection to Milan
"I think everyone knows that I've been a Milan fan since I was a child, because Milan's entire history is closely linked to Portuguese football. When I was a child, Milan was the strongest team in Italy, and Italian football was the best league in the world, so I've been following this club since a very young age.
"But it's not just that. I felt a connection with this club and understood the stage it was at, and everything they did to bring me here. It felt like the right choice for me. So far, everything has gone very, very well. There have been very good moments, and sometimes difficulties, but that's part of the experience. I'm really happy to be here and feel a great responsibility to help this club return to its rightful place."
How do you rate Gonçalo Ramos's performance?
"I've already said in press conferences that I wouldn't say Ramos should run less; I would never comment on a player like that. First and foremost, the most important thing is that we are scoring goals, and that's what matters most.
"Of course, I am well aware that a striker needs to score, and he will score. If you look at his situation with the national team, I think he gets fewer goal-scoring opportunities. Sometimes that's how football is, but he has been working hard. If we can score goals, Gonçalo Ramos also deserves credit. He just needs to keep helping the team, keep doing what he's doing now, and the goals will definitely come."
What are Milan's goals this season?
"Win every game, that's our mentality. We'll settle accounts at the end. For me, every time a week starts, that's our goal, and we have many games each week. Every time we step onto the pitch, we have a responsibility to win. Not only that, we must also try to play beautiful football."
Are you satisfied with the team's current transfer dealings?
"Firstly, I'm really very happy because from day one, I've felt that all of us are working together, and that's the most important thing for me.
"We not only want to help the club solve current problems but also look to the future. If you notice, every move we make is not just for the present, but also for the future, which is very important. This will help us win now and help us win in the future.
"We take this very seriously because you know what the transfer market is like now. We stay vigilant, bringing in ready-made players like Ramos, who is already a European champion; but at the same time, we also want to bring in young talents like Moreira."
"So, I am very satisfied with the transfers we completed this summer, but we also need to continue improving the squad."
What did you learn from your experiences in Lisbon and with Manchester United?
"The experience we gained at other clubs helps us deal with every challenge, including new ones. The situation here is more similar to Portugal. It's a different kind of pressure because people outside the club follow the team with intense passion. This is very similar to Portugal, and I'm used to such an environment.
"In England, the situation is obviously a bit different. Manchester United, like Milan, is a global club, so everything you do has an impact. This helped me think about how to act in the best way at Milan.
"In my opinion, everything I've experienced in my career has prepared me to be where I am today, at such a special club, ready to help it. I know that all the experience gained in the past, whether the team was doing well or going through difficult times, will help me face the challenges ahead."
