Before the match, however, Rossoneri coach Amorim spoke to Sky Sport about how he felt after Sunday night's derby victory: "For me, it was unexpected. Even in the Premier League, I never felt this kind of closeness from the fans and the curva. All of this is very special, and I didn't expect such a great atmosphere. But I know how important a match like this is to the fans; even the children talk about the derby. For us, it was a special day, and Gerry Cardinale and I both understood how important this match was for the club and the fans."
