Ruben Amorim says he will rotate his Manchester United squad against Brentford as he does not want to take any risks with their fitness.
United are enduring a tough Premier League season, sitting 14th in the table on 39 points.
They are currently winless in five games in the competition, a run that stretched thanks to a 1-1 draw against 10-man Bournemouth last time out.
However, they travel to London on the back of a stunning 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday.
With the all-important second leg coming up at Old Trafford next week, Amorim noted that while the Europa League is still the priority, they needed to put up a fight against Brentford.
"The first thing is that the players at risk of injury will not play, no matter what," Amorim said.
"For example, Noussair [Mazraoui] is at risk, and we have to manage the players. We will assess and pick the best players available.
"Then we have to be careful because we are Manchester United, and we cannot go to a game without thinking we can win this game. So, the process is going to be like that.
"It's going to be tough, but we pass so many things this year. It's one more. Let's see."
Brentford, meanwhile, still have an outside chance of claiming a place in the Europa Conference League after their 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Thursday.
They are currently 11th, but are only two points behind eighth-placed Fulham, who play Aston Villa on Saturday.
A huge part of Brentford's success this season has been the partnership between Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, and Thomas Frank is excited to see what other levels they can reach.
"It's been a big privilege to be involved in their development and partnership," he said. "Biggest credit to the two players.
"The way they have developed so far, why not more? No one knows what their ceiling is. It is my job to maximise the team's potential."

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Brentford – Yoane Wissa
Both Bryan Mbeumo and Wissa have scored 11 Premier League goals on home soil for Brentford this season, the joint most by a Bees player in a season, along with Ivan Toney in 2022-23.
Wissa brought his tally to 17 goals for the season last time out against Forest, now trailing his strike partner by just one.
Manchester United – Bruno Fernandes
Fernandes has created the most chances of any player in the Premier League this season (84), including seven last time out at Bournemouth.
It was the 11th time he has created 7+ chances in a Premier League game, and since 2003-04, that Opta has on record, only Mesut Ozil and Kevin De Bruyne (14 times each) have done so more often.
MATCH PREDICTION: BRENTFORD WIN
Brentford ended a run of eight home Premier League games without a win with a 4-2 victory over Brighton on April 19. It was the fifth time they had scored four or more goals in a home league game in 2024-25, their most in a season since 1991-92 (also five in the third tier).
They have won just one of their last 12 meetings with United in all competitions (D2 L9), but that did come on home soil in August 2022 (4-0).
Brentford have won five of their last seven Premier League matches against teams below them in the table on the day of the game (D1 L1), though four of those five victories did come away from home.
United have won just three of their last 21 Premier League away games against London sides (D5 L13), with all three of those victories coming against Fulham.
They are also winless in their last five Premier League matches (D2 L3), their worst run since April-May 2019 (also five). They have not gone six without a win since November-December 2015 under Louis van Gaal.
