According to SPORT1, Robert Andrich has clearly expressed his desire to return to the German national team and is actively seeking selection for the squad led by Klopp.
Andrich told Bild that he hopes to "soon be back in the national team fold."
The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder said: "That's the biggest goal for every player. If you've been selected before, you want to go back again. If you haven't been selected yet, you want to do it for the first time. I want to perform well enough to prove that I can belong there again."
Andrich wants to impress Klopp this way.
When asked what he could bring to Klopp's team, Andrich confidently said: "If I'm healthy, agile, and aggressive, I can bring a lot of what he wants his team to have, and maybe something he would be interested in."
Andrich last played for Germany in October 2025. During the World Cup, he was not included in the squad by Klopp's predecessor, Julian Nagelsmann, and instead served as a commentator for MagentaTV.
Klopp also held the same role at MagentaTV at the time, and Andrich met him there.
In addition to Andrich, Kevin Trapp also expressed interest in being part of the German squad in an interview with Bild. The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper said: "That door has actually never really closed. Last season was one of the best seasons of my career. If I can continue this form and the team continues to play successfully, then we'll have to see what happens next."
The goalkeeper was last called up at the end of 2023.
