Manchester United starlet Anthony Elanga has undergone a big transformation since last summer and is reportedly now one of the club's 'most dedicated gym-goers'.
The 19-year-old has packed on the muscle since he hired a private coach, aiming to set himself up to compete with the physicality of men's football and push his way into the Premier League side's first team.
Elanga suffered a shoulder injury in January 2021 but still went on to make his Premier League debut against Leicester City towards the end of the season. He then scored in the last match of the campaign against Wolves.
However, despite an exciting beginning, the teenager struggled to register game time with the United first team after the summer, playing just five minutes under former-boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Sweden U21 international had asked new interim boss Ralf Rangnick whether he could go out on loan after being out of favour prior to the January transfer window, but the manager declined his request, recommending he stuck around.
Fast forward to today, and Elanga has now made eleven appearances for Rangnick and has scored three times – proving his hard work behind the scenes has paid off.
The Malmo-born rising star had apparently hired his private coach to aid him in working on gaining explosive pace and jumpin, likely giving fitness guru Cristiano Ronaldo a run for his money after becoming one of the most dedicated gym-goers at the club.
Much to the delight of the United starlet, his hard work and recent performances have earned him a song from the Old Trafford faithful, too.
