Match Events

2' Great save from Cech!

What an opportunity as Richarlison is through on goal. Davies hopeful ball picks out the Brazilian as Skoratis attempt to play the offside trap lets him in. It's a marginal call but the flag stays down.

21' SAVE! Fine stop from Cech

Walcott goes long in search of Richarlison and the Brazilian does brilliantly to bring the ball down. He uses his strength to hold off the challenge of Bellerin before turning and getting a shot away. Cech is up to the challenge though, palming the ball away to safety.

42' WOODWORK! Aubameyang almost scores

Aubameyang whips in an inocuous looking cross but it almost catches Pickford out. The England goalkeeper back pedals and watches the ball sail over his head, but luckily for him it crashes back off the crossbar.

56' GOAL! Arsenal 1-0 Everton (Lacazette)

What a strike! Ramsey slides the ball through for Lacazette, who cuts back onto his right foot before curling the ball in off the post. He started the ball well wide of Pickford's far post there and produced enough curl to bring it back to nestle in the back of the net.

59' GOAL! Arsenal 2-0 Everton (Aubameyang)

Everton get themselves in a pickle at the back as Lacazette's pass releases Ozil. It's three on one for the Gunners as Ozil has Ramsey and Ozil in support. Ozil's pass to Ramsey is a poor one but the Welshman flicks the ball forward for Aubameyang, who finishes past a helpless Pickford. Everton appeal for offside but the flag stays down. However, replays show they do have a point as Aubameyang was a couple of feet offside.

71' CLOSE! Cech makes a great save

Everton need something and quickly as Sigurdsson stands over the free-kick. He clips the ball into the box and Keane has a free header, nodding the ball down towards goal. Cech is up to the task though, getting down low to his right to push the ball away.

Match Report

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck within three second-half minutes of one another to earn Arsenal a 2-0 home win over Everton in the Premier League.

Everton were the more threatening side during Sunday's first half at Emirates Stadium, but a quickfire double from Arsenal's attackers secured a fourth straight Premier League win.

The Gunners were grateful to Petr Cech for keeping the scores level at the break, the veteran goalkeeper saving twice from Richarlison and keeping out Lucas Digne's free-kick.

But Aaron Ramsey set up Lacazette and Aubameyang in quick succession to move Arsenal up to sixth, with Everton beaten again after a 3-1 home loss to West Ham last time out.

Nacho Monreal forced an early save from Jordan Pickford in an error-strewn start, with Cech denying Richarlison on the Brazil international's return from suspension.

Digne's whipped free-kick tested Cech again in the 31st minute before Arsenal had to make a change at the back, with Rob Holding replacing the injured Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Aubameyang's mishit cross deceived Pickford and bounced off the crossbar, while Richarlison's powerful drive needed another intervention from Cech.

Referee Jon Moss waved away Arsenal penalty appeals in the 55th minute when Jonjoe Kenny appeared to block Aubameyang's header with his arm, but the Gunners soon took the lead.

Ramsey, who struck a hat-trick in this fixture last season, fed Lacazette and the striker thundered home an unstoppable drive that clipped the post on its way into the top-right corner.

Before Everton had a chance to respond it was 2-0 and game over, Aubameyang slamming home - albeit from an offside position - after Ramsey flicked on an under-hit Mesut Ozil pass.
