Arsenal have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Andre Onana, with the Ajax goalkeeper having reportedly agreed to join Lyon.
The Gunners were heavily linked with Onana earlier in the summer but L'Equipe state that he is set to head to Lyon instead.
Onana is poised to join Lyon for a fee of just £6.8million.
Although the 25-year-old is currently serving a suspension for a doping violation he is still very highly regarded. His ban is set to end on November 4.
Bernd Leno remains Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper, and, with a move for Onana now appearing unlikely, manager Mikel Arteta will have to look elsewhere for another shot-stopper.
Sheffield United's Aaron Ramsdale is seemingly Arsenal's main target amid suggestions that they will make a bid of £30million for the 23-year-old.
Arsenal have made three major signings so far this summer, with the most significant deal seeing defender Ben White arrive from Brighton for £50million.
Midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga and left-back Nuno Tavares have also joined.
