Arsenal: Lee Dixon heaps praise on Mikel Arteta's team after win and says 'forget the documentary'

Arsenal legend Lee Dixon praised Arsenal following their 3-0 rout of Bournemouth Saturday but he warned bigger tests are coming for Mikel Arteta's side.

The Gunners ran riot on the South Coast of England as summer signing Gabriel Jesus set up two goals for captain Martin Odegaard before William Saliba added a sublime third.

The result sent Arsenal to the top of the Premier League after a stunning opening run to the season that could not be further from last year's start.

The Gunners suffered the worst start to a season in their 118-year history last term before ultimately missing out on a top four finish.

The entire campaign was captured in Amazon's behind-the-scenes docuseries, All or Nothing, which was released at the beginning of the month.

However, Dixon urged fans to forget the documentary and watch the reality of a great performance as he claimed the development of young Gunners showed signs of progress but claimed they will face tougher challenges than newly promoted Bournemouth this season.

On CBS he said: 'We've seen the development of this team, the youngsters coming through, the ability to go out there and play the way Arteta wants them to. But the bigger tests are coming.

'Forget the documentary. That's good to look at, but it's the stuff of nonsense. It's not reality, it's edited... that's reality out there, what we're seeing is reality. A great performance, but the bigger tests are coming. Then we'll be able to see the process is working.'

The Gunners face another promoted side in Fulham next weekend and have an arguably comfortable run until the north London derby against Tottenham in October.
