Arsenal transfer news: The Gunners are pushing to sign David Raya from Brentford with a departure for Matt Turner hinting that deal could enter the advanced stages soon
Following his 21-goal season in Ligue 1, Arsenal have slapped a £50million price tag on his shoulders but Inter are hopeful of agreeing a deal in the region of £35million, according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla. In terms of other outgoings, Arsenal are set to receive £5million from the sale of Auston Trusty to Sheffield United, while Nantes are attempting to hijack Olympiacos' loan move for Marquinhos. football.london understands Nicolas Pepe is in talks over a summer move to Besiktas.
A departure for goalkeeper Matt Turner is also close to being finalised with Fabrizio Romano noting a verbal agreement is in place over a transfer to Nottingham Forest with personal terms also agreed. Steve Cooper's side are set to pay £7million to sign the USMNT star, while Arsenal have already lined up his replacement.
Signing Raya would be a significant coup for Arteta but it may leave Aaron Ramsdale in limbo. The Gunners welcomed the England international in 2021 after paying Sheffield United £24million in a deal that could rise to £30million, and while he has faced some criticism, he played a key part in Arsenal's push for the Premier League title last season.
Although Ramsdale could find himself entrenched in a battle with Raya for the No.1 spot in between the sticks with Arteta facing a huge decision regarding who he selects as neither will want to play second-fiddle.
