Arsenal have confirmed Per Mertesacker will be Freddie Ljungberg's assistant in the short-term.
He will be in the dugout for Arsenal's game against Norwich tomorrow.
Mertesacker is Arsenal's academy manager and previously played for the side and has been given the nod to support the Swede in his new role on Sunday.
