Latest Arsenal news as the Gunners will wear their brand new away jersey for the first time on Thursday morning in the United States
Arsenal continue their 2023/24 season preparations on Thursday morning when they take part in the MLS All-Star Game. The Gunners will take on a squad full of players from the Major League Soccer at D.C United's Audi Field in their third pre-season fixture.
Mikel Arteta's side have, so far, played out two 1-1 draws against Watford and FC Nurnberg. The tour of the United States will present a first chance for supporters to see new signings Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber in action following their moves from West Ham and Ajax respectively.
However, the MLS All-Star game will be a special occasion for a number of reasons. As well as the participation in the MLS Skills Challenge on Wednesday, the Gunners will take on a squad of players managed by former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney.
The Adidas shirt has received mixed reaction from supporters. A series of leaks prior to the official release had already left fans unimpressed, though some admitted the announcement video had changed their mind.
Arsenal used a number of first-team players to advertise the kit, alongside appearances from celebrities Asa Butterfield, Ashley Walters, Martin Kemp.
One fan admitted the kit was growing on him, while another complimented the "fire video". @bigjonnyboy4 called the kit "shocking" but @doc11886 insisted there was "nothing wrong" with it.
