Out-of-favour Arsenal star Joe Willock has, on Thursday, dropped a hint that his future beyond the summer may well lie at Newcastle United.
Gunners starlet in demand
Midfield talent Willock of course spent the 2nd half of last season playing his trade at St. James’ Park, after struggling for game-time under Mikel Arteta’s watch at the Emirates.
And the 21-year-old quickly went on to remind viewers of his unquestionable talents, racking up a hugely impressive 8 goals in 14 Premier League appearances for the Magpies.
In turn, it has since come as little surprise to see speculation spread that those in a position of power on Tyneside have set their sights on a permanent deal for Willock.
Thus far, however, the Magpies have failed to meet Arsenal’s understandably considerable asking price.
St. James’ return incoming?
As outlined above, though, if the latest social media activity on the part of none other than Willock himself is anything to go by, then a transfer may not be as far from coming to fruition as previously thought.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Thursday, the young Gunners star liked a post, featuring him in a Newcastle jersey.
Even more significant, though, was the accompanying caption, assuring that ‘Willock is very close to leaving Arsenal!’
