Arsenal are making moves to sign Barcelona's Sergino Dest as they seek full-back reinforcements.

The Gunners are in the midst of a summer overhaul at the Emirates and Hector Bellerin could be one of the men to leave.

A switch to Inter Milan is on the cards which would leave Arsenal looking for a replacement.

They are one of several clubs who have been tracking Dest, with Juventus and Bayern Munich also keen.

But the Gunners, according to Sport, have made an approach to sign the American, who is valued at £25.7m.

Dest has no desire to leave Barcelona having been a regular under Ronald Koeman last season.

However the Catalans are desperate to raise funds as they look to finalise Lionel Messi's new contract and register new signings.

Arsenal meanwhile are in the midst of negotiating with several players and they look to bounce back from a poor season.

They are expected to complete the £17m signing of Anderlecht midfielder Sambi Lokonga in the coming days.

A £50m fee has also been agreed with Brighton for Ben White with a medical penciled in for later this month.

Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba have both left north London on loan whilst Granit Xhaka is seeking a move to Roma.

Arsenal are continuing their pre-season preparations and battled to a draw with Rangers at the weekend.

Speaking after the game at Ibrox, Arteta said: "Overall I'm really pleased with the performance. I think we dominated the game, we created so many chances - I counted about eight or 10 clear chances to score - but this game is decided in both boxes.

"We weren't clinical in the opponent's box and we conceded two goals from two corners, which were the only chances they had apart from the counter-attack from our own corner.

"It's much better from the other day and you tell that physically we were already better in the second game, the organisation was better, individually they played better.

"But I really liked the collective understanding of the game and how we executed a lot of things we've been working on in the training pitch."

He added: "Now a little bit of recovery. We trained really hard, played two games, and now we're going to be travelling to America in the next week.

"We didn't have any injuries which is really positive in the first week. We're going to have some new faces arriving probably, so very positive."
