Latest Arsenal news as Stan Kroenke strikes huge Jalen Ramsey trade deal between Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins with top NFL cornerback heading down to South Beach
Stan Kroenke's Los Angeles Rams have completed a trade deal that sees Jalen Ramsey sign for the Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins have landed an All-Pro cornerback, one of the best players in his position and a Super Bowl winner with the Rams. A six-time Pro Bowl player, Ramsey's departure sent shockwaves around the NFL when it was first reported on Sunday.
NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport described the move, with Ramsey keen to head to Miami, as a 'blockbuster'. The trade is due to go through officially on Wednesday, when NFL free agency begins and with it a new League year.
Ramsey himself confirmed the move would be going ahead in an interview with the NFL Network. "I feel great, man," he said.
"This is something I was praying about for a long time. "It's going to be fun, it's going to be exciting, but we're gonna get to work though, though, for sure."
Ramsey was a key part of the Rams' Super Bowl success in 2021 and wants to land another. "That's always the goal is to try to get back to the Super Bowl, and win the Super Bowl," he added. "I'm just another piece of the puzzle."
Kroenke, meanwhile, has owned the Rams through his Kroenke Sports & Entertainment investment vehicle since August 2010 having initially bought his first amount of shares 15 years earlier.
The Rams have won two Super Bowl championships in that time, in 1999 and 2021. Kroenke bought into Arsenal in April 2007 before taking on full ownership in a similar situation with the Rams.
