Ivan Rakitic spoke in the mixed zone after Barcelona’s 0-0 draw at Lyon on Tuesday.
“Today it couldn’t be,” said the Croatian. “We had a good game, we were on top by far, but sometimes this happens, it’s hard and the ball doesn’t want to go in.”
Rakitic thought Barca did well at the Groupama Stadium.
“We’ll think about the game we had and we have total confidence (of going through),” said the midfielder.
“This is the first leg and with total respect, we will come out with our batteries in, we have to united and prepare for the second leg.
“We wanted to score and win. We had chances but sometimes this happens, although if we had played half an hour more we wouldn’t have scored.
“(The key is) to work well for the second leg, have confidence and in the return the ball will have to go in.”
